What full-mouth dental implant options are available, and who is a candidate?
Full-mouth dental implant options include traditional implants and advanced techniques like All-on-4 implants. Candidates are typically individuals with significant tooth loss or damage and sufficient bone density to support the implants. A consultation with your dentist will include a comprehensive exam and X-rays to determine the best implant solution for your needs.
What are All-on-4 dental implants, and how do they differ from traditional implants?
All-on-4 dental implants allow for a full arch of teeth to be secured using only four implants, unlike traditional implants that require one implant per missing tooth. This approach reduces the need for bone grafting, is less invasive, and provides quicker recovery. It’s ideal for patients seeking a more efficient and cost-effective full-mouth restoration.
Why choose a dental implant specialist for your implant needs?
A dental implant specialist has advanced training in implant placement, ensuring precision and long-lasting results. Specialists are experienced in handling complex cases that might involve bone grafting or other surgical interventions. Choosing a specialist increases the likelihood of a successful, functional, and aesthetically pleasing outcome.
How do tooth implants help restore oral function?
Tooth implants are designed to mimic the function of natural teeth by being securely anchored in the jawbone. They restore the ability to chew and speak comfortably while preventing bone loss, which occurs when teeth are missing. Implants are a permanent solution that improves your smile’s functionality and appearance.
What cosmetic dentistry treatments are available to enhance your smile?
Greenwood Dental offers a variety of cosmetic treatments, including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, Invisalign, and smile makeovers. These treatments can correct discoloration, alignment issues, and imperfections to give you a brighter, more symmetrical smile. Each procedure is tailored to the patient’s aesthetic goals and dental health needs.
How much will my dental treatment cost?
The cost of dental treatments can vary from person to person, depending on the treatment you may need. When we recommend a specific treatment, we will discuss pricing on the treatment plan and explain the different financing options that fit your needs. We offer third party financing and insurance options to fit almost everyone’s financial needs.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
Our office gladly accepts walk-ins and emergency cases. Dental emergencies are of course, unexpected and sometimes can be terrifying depending on the type of dental emergency. We treat emergencies from persistent toothache to knocked-out tooth! If you are experiencing anything side from a dental emergency make sure to contact 911 to seek medical treatment.
How many times a year should I have my teeth cleaned?
We recommend coming in for your cleanings every six-months. In a perfect world, everyone would brush and floss twice a day. Overtime, plaque builds up and this sticky like bacterial film can solidify and turn into calculus or tartar. This cement-like substance is removed by the hygienist at your regular cleaning visits and prevents future complications and periodontal disease. This helps to not only keep your mouth healthy and clean, but it also allows potential problems to be found and diagnosed earlier.
What can I do about sensitive teeth?
We recommend sensitivity toothpaste, which contains strontium chloride or potassium nitrate are very effective in treating sensitive teeth. After a few weeks of use, you may notice a decrease in sensitivity. Highly acidic foods such as oranges, grapefruits and lemons, as well as tea and soda can increase tooth sensitivity, and work against sensitivity toothpaste. If you do not get relief by brushing gently and using desensitizing toothpaste, schedule an appointment with us so we can check-up on your oral health.
What can you do about my missing teeth?
In today’s dentistry there are many options that we can help to replace your missing tooth. If you’re missing a single tooth or a few right next to each other, we can restore them using a dental bridge. If your tooth loss is a little more extensive and you’re looking for a more permanent solution, we may suggest a dental implants. Both options offer a full smile solution that you can leave with a beautiful smile on the same day.
