The Art and Science of Smiles

Facing the idea of losing teeth can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re missing a single tooth, have many teeth that have become unsalvageable, or are already struggling with ill-fitting dentures, you may feel frustrated, discouraged, and even ashamed. Missing and failing teeth make it difficult to bite and chew comfortably, leading to nutritional deficiencies and a declining quality of life when you can’t enjoy your favorite foods. You may feel embarrassed to show your full smile in photos or want to hide your laugh so people can’t see your teeth. Missing most or all your teeth can change the shape of your face and age you beyond your years.

Dental implants are the “gold standard” solution regardless of how many teeth you are missing. These permanent tooth replacements are as close to having your own healthy teeth back. Dental implants restore oral health, look, and feel completely natural, and last decades. At Greenwood Dental, we’re proud to provide affordable dental implants in New Hampshire & Massachusetts. Our years of experience and advanced training can give you renewed confidence and quality of life with a strong, beautiful smile you’ll love for life.

What Is a
Dental Implant?

Dental implants mimic natural teeth using just three parts – a post, an abutment, and the restoration. The post replaces the tooth root and is inserted into the jawbone to create a secure and stable foundation. Once the posts are inserted, we will attach an abutment on top that will serve as a connecting part for the final restoration to set on top of. With these three parts, dental implants are one of the most versatile tooth replacements available. We can use them to replace any number of missing teeth, from individual implants to full mouth dental implants.

For the best outcome, dental implants need precision placement by a skilled implant dentist and advanced surgical technology. Our team routinely provides dental implant treatment across various cases, utilizing state-of-the-art technology and the highest-quality materials for the best results. You deserve the stability and full function of a gorgeous smile that will last years!

Custom Dental Implant Options for Every Need

Single Dental Implants

If you’re missing a single tooth or have teeth missing in different areas, single dental implants offer an effective solution to restore both your smile and oral function. Designed to look and feel like natural teeth, these implants blend seamlessly with your existing teeth while also preserving your jawbone and preventing adjacent teeth from shifting. Single dental implants provide a durable, long-lasting replacement that enhances both your appearance and overall dental health.

Dental Bridges

If you’re missing several teeth in one area, we can replace them with a single prosthesis supported by two dental implant posts. Unlike traditional dental bridges, which rely on adjacent natural teeth for support, implant bridges anchor directly into the jawbone for a more secure fit. This approach not only provides a natural feel and function but also preserves the health of surrounding teeth and prevents bone loss, offering a durable and long-lasting solution.

implant supported dentures

Implant-Supported Dentures

For patients who are missing all their teeth or may need dentures, implant-supported dentures give you the enhanced stability of dental implants with the versatility of a removable denture. With just a few implant posts, your denture will stay securely in place without uncomfortable adhesives. In some cases, we may be able to modify an existing denture to accommodate dental implants.

Full Mouth Dental Implants

Full mouth dental implants are the best option for completely rebuilding your full set of teeth with strong, fully functional replacements. With permanently fixed full mouth dental implants, you’ll never have to leave your teeth in a glass overnight. Best of all, full mouth dental implants restore 99% of normal biting function. That means you can eat juicy steak and crisp salad and even bite into fresh apples confidently.

Our Dental Implant Treatment Process

Your dental implant treatment at Greenwood Dental starts with a consultation. We want to fully understand how missing and damaged teeth affect your day-to-day life and what you hope dental implants can do to improve your health and confidence. We’ll collect detailed diagnostics using state-of-the-art digital X-rays and intraoral scanners. We’ll design a treatment plan tailored to your oral health needs and smile goals using these images. Your plan may include procedures to remove unsalvageable teeth and rebuild lost bone volume.

On the day of your procedure, you’ll be given your chosen sedation method and rest comfortably. We’ll use your treatment plan and fully guided surgical techniques to place the appropriate number of dental implants into your jawbone to create a stable foundation. Once your implants are placed at a 45-degree angle, we’ll attach an abutment and place your temporary teeth so you can immediately begin using your new smile.

Over the next 4-6 months, your implants will fuse with your jawbone through Osseointegration. We’ll attach your final restoration once your implants have healed and created a durable foundation. This permanent smile will keep you smiling for years to come!
